About
I am a feminist theologian, activist, and ethicist and am the Visiting Assistant Professor of Theological Ethics at Loyola Marymount University. I earned my Ph.D. in religion at Claremont Graduate University focused in the areas of women studies and theology, ethics, and culture. My research interests are theologically and ethically driven, involve a feminist and interdisciplinary approach, and are influenced by my activist roots and experience working with survivors of rape and domestic violence.
Areas I specialize in include women studies in religion, feminist theologies/thealogies, multicultural feminisms, ecofeminist theology, suffering, violence against women, rape culture, contemporary social ethics, international human rights, and music and theology. Issues I am especially passionate about are violence against women, torture, global poverty, and the atrocities occuring in the Congo, Tibet, and Darfur.
